SUBJ: SWS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 21/03
ISSUED AT 2356UT/06 FEBRUARY 2021
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

A series of patchy equatorial coronal holes are expected to affect
the earth for the expected three UT days. Global geomagnetic
activity is expected to reach active levels with possible minor
storm periods on 07 February. On 08 Feb, geomagnetic activity
is expected to decline to mostly unsettled levels. This may be
followed by an increase in geomagnetic activity as another slightly
larger equatorial coronal hole is expected to reach a geoeffective
location on the solar disk. Aurora may be visible on the local
nights of 7 Feb and 9 Feb from Tasmania.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED
DUE TO CORONAL HOLE HIGH SPEED WIND STREAM
