SUBJ: SWS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 21/24
ISSUED AT 0837UT/26 AUGUST 2021
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

A weak slow moving CME associated with a disappearing solar filament
on the 23rd August may have a glancing impact at Earth late on
the UT day of the 26th or into the 27th August. Mildly elevated
geomagnetic activity may occur following the impact. Another
weak slow moving CME observed occurring towards the middle of
the UT day on the 24th August appears to be primarily eastward,
although there is a chance it may also have a glancing impact
at Earth during the 27th August, potentially resulting in mildly
elevated geomagnetic activity.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED
DUE TO CORONAL MASS EJECTION
FROM 26-27 AUGUST 2021
