SUBJ: SWS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 17/48
ISSUED AT 0036UT/26 SEPTEMBER 2017
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

A large recurrent Northern Hemisphere polar coronal hole will 
soon reach geoeffective location on the solar disk. A possible 
corotating interaction region associated with the coronal hole 
is expected to affect earth from late UT day 27 September. Expect 
an increase in geomagnetic activity to Active levels with isolated 
periods of Minor Storm levels UT day 27-28 August and Unsettled 
to Active levels on 29 August. There is some chance that aurora 
may be visible on the local night of 28 September from the Southern 
most regions of Australia.
