ISSUED AT 19/0033Z AUGUST 2003
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED FOR 19 AUGUST 2003
DUE TO RESIDUAL EFFECTS OF CME IMPACT ON 17 AUGUST.

Sustained periods of southward IMF observed during the past 24
hours have produced significant geomagnetic storm activity.
Residual effects are expected to persist into 19 August.
