ISSUED AT 19/0208Z JULY 2002
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED FROM 20-21 JULY 2002

A faint halo CME observed in association with the X1-flare on
18 July is expected to impact the earth in the latter half of
the UT day of 20 July. Further CME activity observed on 18 July
may possibly be also earthward directed and geoeffective on
20-21 July.

GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY FORECAST 
20 Jul:  Initially quiet to unsettled with storm levels expected
         later in the UT day.
21 Jul:  Active to minor storm with major storm periods possible.
