COMMENT: Solar activity was Very Low for the UT day, 11 April.
Expect Very Low solar activity for the next 3 days with a slight
chance of C-class flares. SOHO LASCO C2 imagery showed a CME
beginning at 2312UT on the NE limb. This CME may have a glancing
blow on 15 April, pending further analysis. There was a solar
sector boundary crossing at approximately 1245UT. The solar wind
speed increased from 390 to 500 km/s over the last 24 hours with
the increase occurring after the SSB crossing. The IMF Btotal
varied between 8 to 2 nT with the minimum occurring at the boundary
change. Btotal is currently around 3nT. The IMF Bz component
of the IMF varied between +6/-7 nT during the last 24 hours.

Observed Regional daily pc3 Indices 11 Apr :
      Darwin 0 (Quiet)
      Townsville 0 (Quiet)

      Canberra 8 (Quiet)
      Melbourne NA

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum
of 20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be
well correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic
survey flight-line data.

NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and International Center for Space Weather
Science and Education, Japan.
