COMMENT: Solar activity was Low over the last 24 hours with numerous
C-class flares from region 2157 (S14,E17), with the largest being
a C5.1 at 0011UT. Region 2157 size and magnetic complexity remains
relatively unchanged over the last 24 hours, while regions 2155,2158
and 2162 underwent some growth. Solar wind speed increased from
~~350km/s at 00UT to ~420km/s at 05UT and is ~430km/s at the time
of this report. Bz, the north south component of the interplanetary
magnetic field ranged between +5 and -4nT over the UT day. Solar
activity is expected to be Low to Moderate for the next 3 days
with the chance of a M-class event.

      Davis 11 24422122

Observed Regional daily pc3 Indices 08 Sep :
      Darwin 10 (Quiet)
      Townsville 0 (Quiet)

      Canberra 0 (Quiet)

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum
of 20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be
well correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic
survey flight-line data.

NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and International Center for Space Weather
Science and Education, Japan.
