SUBJ: IPS DAILY SOLAR AND GEOPHYSICAL REPORT
ISSUED AT 11/2330Z APRIL 2006 BY IPS RADIO AND SPACE SERVICES
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE
SUMMARY FOR 11 APRIL AND FORECAST FOR 12 APRIL - 14 APRIL
STATUS INDICATORS SOL:GREEN MAG:GREEN ION: GREEN
-----------------------------------------------------------
1A. SOLAR SUMMARY
Activity 11 Apr: Low

Flares: none.

Observed 10.7 cm flux/Equivalent Sunspot Number for 11 Apr: 90/34

1B. SOLAR FORECAST
             12 Apr 13 Apr 14 Apr
Activity Low Low Low
Fadeouts None expected None expected None expected
10.7cm/SSN 90/34 90/34 90/34
COMMENT: Solar wind speed declined from 600 to 450km/sec over
the UT day. 27 day recurrence patterns suggests that solar wind
speed is expected to remain low for the next two days, then return
to elevated speeds (approx 600km/sec) for 15-16 Apr. No significant
flare activity observed in the past 24 hours. Solar region 870
in the south-east soalr quadrant produced some minor C class
events.

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3 indices are the daily sum
of 20 minute pc3 indices for that station.
