AUSTRALIAN REGION SUMMARY AND FORECAST
1. SUMMARY (30 JANUARY)

Cocos Island Region:
Near predicted monthly values with depressions to 25%
08-11 UT. Some night spread F. Sporadic E observed
10-18 UT.
Niue Island Region:
Near predicted monthly values with depressions to 45%
03-05 UT. Some night spread F. Sporadic E observed
04-06, 11-20 UT.
Northern Australian Region:
Near predicted monthly values, no data 00-04 UT at
Darwin. Depressions to 25% 06, 14, 17-18 and 21 UT at
Darwin and 02-06 and 14 UT at Townsville. Sporadic E
observed 00-05, 07-08 and 20-22 UT and some night
spread F observed at Townsville.
Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
Near predicted monthly values. Depressions mostly to
15% 00-09 UT. Night spread F observed at all stations.
Sporadic E observed mostly 00-12 UT.
Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
Near predicted monthly values with occasional
depressions to 20%.
PCA Event : No event.
