AUSTRALIAN REGION SUMMARY AND FORECAST

1. SUMMARY (27 JANUARY)

MUFs:
   Cocos Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values with enhancements to 30%
      11-18 UT. Sporadic E observed 01-03 and 19-23 UT.
   Niue Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values with depressions to 30%
      10-14 UT. Sporadic E observed 07-14 UT. No data 15-23
      UT.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values to 30% enhanced.
      Depressions to 15% at Townsville, 01-02, 13 and 15
      UT. Sporadic E observed 13 and 15-22 UT at Darwin, and
      00-04, 07, 10 and 21-23 UT at Townsville.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values to 30% enhanced.
      Depressions to 25% 02, 03 and 11-15 UT at Brisbane,
      11-20 UT at Canberra and Sydney, and 02-05 and 15-17
      UT at Hobart. Sporadic E observed mostly 00-04, 12-16
      and 20-23 UT. Some night spread F observed at Brisbane
      and Hobart.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values to 30% enhanced.
      Depressions to 30% at Macquarie Is., 13-17 UT.

PCA Event : No event.
