We were in Iceland and saw a wonderful one FINALLY, after chasing it in Norway and Alaska last year. It was on February 20th. It was the first one they had seen since Mid-December, they told us at the Aurora centre in Reykjavik and that night, 2,000 people left Reykjavik to view it. they/we were not disappointed as it was a beauty. Last several hours while we slowly froze to death:( Mara -----Original Message----- From: Public reports of aurora sightings [mailto:ips-aurora-sightings at ips.gov.au] Sent: Wednesday, 25 February 2015 9:43 PM To: ips-aurora-sightings at ips.gov.au Subject: Report of Aurora Observation from Lucaston, Tas Aurora Sighting Report: Date: 23/02/2015 Time: 11:50 (LT) Location: Lucaston, Tas Type (Diffuse or Arcs): Diffuse curtains and rays Colours: green and red Extent: low horizon to 20 degrees Other Details: by Bill Brown with billbrown361 at dodo.com.au From ips-aurora-sightings at ips.gov.au Wed Mar 18 08:14:07 2015 From: ips-aurora-sightings at ips.gov.au (Public reports of aurora sightings) Date: Wed, 18 Mar 2015 08:14:07 +1100 (EST) Subject: Report of Aurora Observation from Latvia, North Latvia Message-ID: Aurora Sighting Report: Date: 17/03/2015 Time: 21:30 (LT) Location: Latvia, North Latvia Type (Diffuse or Arcs): I don't know... both Colours: very pale and white Extent: not through the whole sky, like on aside, coming from th North, but spreading to the'ceiling'' Other Details: For a short time period, unfortunately... by anonymous without email From ips-aurora-sightings at ips.gov.au Wed Mar 18 09:12:55 2015 From: ips-aurora-sightings at ips.gov.au (Public reports of aurora sightings) Date: Wed, 18 Mar 2015 09:12:55 +1100 (EST) Subject: Report of Aurora Observation from Melbourne Message-ID: Aurora Sighting Report: Date: 18/03/2015 Time: 05:00 (LT) Location: Melbourne Type (Diffuse or Arcs): Colours: Red Yello Extent: Other Details: by Russell Wiltshire with wiltshire.russell at gmail.com -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
