I am currently camped up at Mount Arapilies, 30 km west of Horsham in the wimmera region of Victoria.

the south. At first they where very bright with green along the horizon and a deep red stretching to overhead. They then gradually contracted to the south and became less intense until they where no longer visible.

Observed  from Temuka South Canterbury, New Zealand,on Sunday, 15 May 6.30pm --7.10pm( New Zealand Time), very bright Aurora in light yellows through to deep reds with vertical streaks high above to the south west  for 40 minutes moving over head before disappearing..

Subject: Radio Aurora from Bombala NSW

Dear Sir

Intense radio aurora noted from 1830 - 1950 AEST from here at Bombala NSW.
MUFs ranged from 45.25Mhz (New Zeland) up to 217.25Mhz (Channel 11 Albury 
NSW). Many FM stations noted also.

Not as intense as the one on 8 - 10 November 2004.


I was also able to see the aurora as (luckily) the clouds cleared. Mostly 
white colour seen.

Hello all,

A splendid but brief Aurora was observed at our NYPPers camp at Hendy's shed 
on Sunday night May 15th.
Location: Wallaroo SA, longitude 137.63 E, Latitude -33.93 deg S
Duration: about 6:40 to 6:50 pm Australian Central Standard Time
Prominent ray in SSW commencing 10 degrees above southern horizon and ending 
at 70 degrees altitude.
Less prominent ray in SSE.
Unfortunately no photos to show :(

White/Green Aurora sighted from Fern Tree and West Hobart on Monday 30th
May 2005 at 11:30pm to Tuesday 31st May at 1:30am. (1430-1630UT)

The Aurora was in southern and South east sky to about 25deg above the
horizon.  The SW sky was blocked out as a front had come through.  The
aurora was generally a glow, with the odd searchlight, the largest being
to about 60 deg due south.  The old fast moving cloud effect was also
seen, again due south.  No red aurora was sighted.
