the 18 Jan 2005. Antenna beamed 160DEG SSE.

Hello down younder.
Thanks for the alert this morning  (02.02 local time)
Aurora observation from Denmark.
January 21  from 21.30 UTC till 23.50 UTC.
Location  55,32N  11,51 E.
Strong aurora on the northern sky as "curtains" direction N-S-
from deep red to blue coulors.
The aurora came in waves and was over a periode of 1 hour totally covering
the northern hemisphere from NV to NE. and
reaching zenit for a while.
Strong aurora observed on frequencies from 50 MHz to 450 MHz.

Hi

I was surpised to observe radio aurora this morning 22/1/05 between 0548 -
0606. Slightly more intense than on the 18/1/05.

93.9 Hobart best at 180DEG South
96.1/94.5 Shepparton best at 160DEG SSE
102.7 Mildura best at 160DEG SSE
103.7 Swan Hill best at 160DEG SSE

TV:
57.25 & 86.25.

Sporadic E was also noted at the same time on Band I suggesting Aurora
induced E-Skip.
