SUBJ: SWS AURORA WATCH
ISSUED AT 0314 UT ON 25 Oct 2019 by Space Weather Services
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

The solar wind is currently under the influence of a high speed solar
wind stream from a recurrent positive-polarity coronal hole resulting
in significant geomagnetic activity over the next 24-36hours and
visible auroras possible during local nighttime hours. Aurora
sightings possible this evening from southernmost Australian regions
should favourable viewing conditions, high solar wind speed and
southward Bz conditions eventuate. Aurora alerts will follow if
significant geomagnetic activity actually occurs.
