SUBJ: SWS AURORA WATCH
ISSUED AT 0619 UT ON 05 Apr 2019 by Space Weather Services
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

The solar wind is currently under the influence of high speed solar
wind stream from a negative polarity coronal hole. This may result in
elevated geomagnetic activity with the chance of visible auroras
during local nighttime hours for Southernmost Australian regions
(Tasmania/Sth VIC) should favourable viewing conditions, elevated
solar wind speed and prolonged southward Bz (<-5nT) conditions
eventuate. Aurora alerts will follow if significant geomagnetic
activity actually occurs.
