ISSUED AT 0646 UT ON 24 Jul 2018 by Space Weather Services
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

Effects of a coronal hole are currently impacting Earth, which has
caused Active levels of geomagnetic activity. There is a slight chance
this may increase to Minor Storm levels. If this geomagnetic activity
continues during local nighttime hours, auroras may be visible at high
latitudes, such as Southern Tasmania. Aurora alerts will follow if
significant geomagnetic activity actually occurs. Visit the SWS Aurora
