SUBJ: SWS AURORA WATCH
ISSUED AT 0702 UT ON 27 Sep 2017 by Space Weather Services
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

The Earth is starting to feel the impact of a high speed wind stream
from a recurrent polar-connected coronal hole. Current geomagnetic
conditions are Quiet to Unsettled but they may increase to Active to
Minor Storm levels within the next 24 hours. If this occurs, there is
a possibility that aurora may be visible in Tasmania and the southern
Australian coastline during local nighttime hours. Aurora alerts will
follow if significant geomagnetic activity actually occurs.

Visit the SWS Aurora webpage http://www.sws.bom.gov.au/Aurora for
current aurora viewing conditions.
