SUBJ: IPS AURORA WATCH
ISSUED AT 0023 UT ON 17 Sep 2013 BY IPS RADIO AND SPACE SERVICES
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

A high speed solar wind stream is expected to arrive at Earth during
the next 12-24 hours. This may lead to unsettled to active geomagnetic
conditions during the next 48 hours. There is a possibility that
auroras will be visible very low on the southern horizon from Southern
Tasmania during local nighttime hours. Aurora alerts will follow
should favourable space weather activity eventuate.
