SUBJ: IPS AURORA WATCH
ISSUED AT 2323 UT ON 13 Oct 2013 BY IPS RADIO AND SPACE SERVICES
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

Several coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have been observed over the last
few days with anticipated arrival times within the next 1-3 days.
There is also an expected coronal hole high speed wind stream arriving
sometime in the next 24 hours. The timing and impact of these events
is uncertain however while a major event is not expected, the combined
effects may produce space weather conditions conducive to producing
aurora visible from southern regions of Australia (e.g. Tasmania).
Alerts will follow should favourable space weather conditions
eventuate.
